The Lake House is located on the way to Jeribucaçu beach, only 6 kilometres from the historic centre of Itacaré – Bahia.

Spacious and comfortable it´s ideal for those looking for a relaxing time e being in touch with natures, as it´s always surrounded for different species of birds and it´s visited by little monkeys. Coconut water we get from the tree, the sun set we see from the hammock in the deck and on full moon days we see it from the garden by the fire.

With 120 square metres, the house has one unsuite master bedroom with balcony on the first floor where there is also a study mezzanine.

On the ground floor there is a bedroom, integrated living room and  kitchen, bathroom, balcony, front garden and a great yard right in the Atlantic Forest.

The beach of Jeribucaçu, one of the most beautiful beaches of Itacaré, is within 20 minute walk from the house and it is accessed by a trail of medium dificulty level.

Right at the entrance of the beach, there is a river that comes from the Cachoeira da Usina (Usina´s Waterfall) and runs down through the magroove to reach the sea.

The trip to Cachoeira da Usina must be booked with a guide and it can be organised through a local agency.

HOW TO GET THERE

Itacaré is located in the cocoa zone of the state of Bahia, south of Salvador, 70 Km of Ilhéus. It is in Itacaré that the river Rio de Contas, wich comes from the Chapada Diamantina, meets with the ocean.

To get to Itacaré by air.

The nearest airport to Itacaré is Ilhéus (IOS). The closest international airport is in Salvador (SSA). It is served by most major international air companies. There are daily flies to Ilhéus from Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, Vitória, Brasília, Belo Horizonte and São Paulo by the Brazilian companies TAM, GOL, AZUL, TRIP and AVIANCA. At Ilhéus airport you can rent a car or get a taxi to Itacaré.

To get to Itacaré by land.

Theres is a paved road (BA-001) that directly links Ilhéus to Itacaré following the coastline. Coming from Salvador, the best way is to get the ferry-boat to Bom Despacho (Itaparica Island) and to go on by the road BA-001 till Itacaré.

Bus Transport to Itacaré.

There are hourly buses from Despacho (Itaparica Island) to Itacaré. The journey takes approximately 5 hours. Águia Branca and Cidade do Sol are the most direct and quickest bus companies.

There are also buses leaving daily from Ilhéus, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM by the company Rota. The ticket costs about R$ 12. Travel time is 1:40. There are other bus lines to Itacaré from Porto Seguro, Itabuna, Vitória da Conquista, Feira de Santana and the main cities around.
